Drakshi mosru-saasive (Green grapes-yogurt dip)

A creamy yogurt fruit-based dip that is commonly a part of lunch menu. Tastes best when eaten with rice or as an accompaniment to anna-huli (rice-lentil veggie stew) or anna-saaru (rice-lentil soup).


Cup measurement used – standard 1 cup = 240 ml

Serves 2


Ingredients:

Green grapes ¼ cup, quartered

Yogurt ½ cup

Water ½ cup

Salt to taste


To grind

Grated coconut ¼ cup

Mustard seeds 1 tsp

Green chillies 2


Tempering

Oil 1 tbsp

Mustard seeds ½ tsp

Cumin seeds ½ tsp

Curry leaves a sprig


Method:

Grind all the items under “To grind” using ¼ cup water. Whisk ½ cup curd/yogurt with ½ cup water and add the ground paste and salt. Prepare a tempering by heating oil and spluttering mustard, cumin seeds and curry leaves. Add the quartered grapes and tempering to the curd mixture and serve.
